Since I’m going to Hanoi for the first time in April, I plan to spend the next month educating myself about Vietnamese food. I started delicately tonight with Parallel 17, a Vietnamese fusion restaurant.
I’d been there once or twice before for a wine & sake tasting, but hadn’t eaten anything substantial. This was also, embarrassingly enough, my first time trying Pho. The bartender (forgive me, I forgot her name!) was lovely and she kindly explained the process without seeming at all patronizing. The beef pho was DELICIOUS!! I’ll definitely be back.
Our next venture will take us to a more traditional Pho restaurant and Little Saigon. More to come…
